The results of the Stanford University World Ranking of Top Scientists have been published.
A few days ago, the results of a world ranking compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier and SciTech Strategies were published. The ranking evaluates the entire scientific output of individual researchers according to the bibliometric index, and the ranking list includes the ranked names of 2% of the best scientists whose publications are most often cited by other authors. The entire scientific output of individual researchers from all fields of science is assessed according to the bibliometric index, which takes into account criteria such as: Hirsch index, number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor, place and role on the list of authors (first, last place). The list covered almost 160 thousand specialists from 22 disciplines divided into 176 more specific fields.
The list includes 46 scientists representing the Jagiellonian University, including 10 employees of the Faculty of Chemistry, among whom was the Head of our Department and Team, Prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Barańska.
