The first in Poland and a few in the world technique of stimulated Raman scattering microscopy (SRS) is available in ZOR!

Raman Imaging Group (pol. ZOR) focus on innovation and development!

After more than 2 years of work, we managed to develop a new research technique - Stimulated Raman Scattering Microscopy (SRS). It is the first system of this type built in Poland. It was planned and built by a member of our group, Dr. Krzysztof Brzozowski in cooperation with Dr. Adam Wojciechowski from the Faculty of Physics of the Jagiellonian University. The research is financed by Małgosia's projects (NCN, FNP).

Among the Raman imaging techniques, apart from Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering Microscopy (CARS), the SRS microscopy systems are the most dynamically developed field with very high potential. The advantage over spontaneous Raman spectroscopy is primarily the sensitivity and speed of SRS systems, which nowadays reach even up to 30 fps.

Below, together with a description, we present the first frames captured with our new equipment, as well as our research laboratory. The constructed system is in the process of optimization and selection of the most favorable operating parameters, as well as high-quality lenses for cooperation with the system.
